VISA GRANT NUMBER
The visa grant number is 812****679. This is the unique number assigned to the visa. You should keep this visa grant number with you, as you may have to provide it to the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) during the life of the visa.

VISA INFORMATION
If you are currently in Australia and held a Working Holiday visa at the time you applied, this visa allows you to remain in Australia for a total of 24 months from the date you entered Australia on your first Working Holiday visa. It provides for multiple travel to Australia, which means that you can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you wish during this period. However, if you depart Australia during this period, you are not able to recover the period of time you have spent outside Australia.

If you are currently in Australia and did NOT hold a Working Holiday visa at the time you applied, this visa allows you to remain in Australia for 12 months from the date it is granted. It provides for multiple travel to Australia, which means that you can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you wish during this period. However, if you depart Australia during this period, you are not able to recover the period of time you have spent outside Australia.

If you applied for this visa from outside Australia, this visa allows you to make your initial entry into Australia no later than 11 September 2010. The visa permits you to stay in Australia for 12 months from the date that you first enter Australia. It provides for multiple travel to Australia which means that you can leave and re-enter Australia as many times as you wish during your 12 month stay. However, if you depart Australia during this period, you are not able to recover the period of time you have spent outside Australia.

You will not have a visa label placed in your passport when travelling to Australia as your visa is recorded electronically in Australia's visa systems. It is recommended that you print and keep a copy of this advice for your personal records.

Please note that this visa is linked to the passport number provided in your application. If you obtain a new passport after receiving this letter, DIAC systems will not recognise the new passport and you will be prevented from travelling to Australia. You will need to contact the eVisa Helpdesk for advice (2ndWHM.Helpdesk@immi.gov.au).

Please note: this Working Holiday Visa can only be used once. If you find your circumstances have changed after you are granted a Working Holiday Visa and you want to postpone your working holiday but you still need to travel to Australia for a brief visit, you MUST apply for a Tourist visa or another temporary visa. This will cease your Working Holiday visa and you will be able to apply for another Working Holiday Visa at a later stage, if you still meet all the eligibility criteria.

If you obtain an ETA (Electronic Travel Authority, subclass 976) after your Working Holiday Visa has been granted, your entry to Australia will activate your Working Holiday Visa and you will NOT be able to apply for another Working Holiday visa.

VISA CONDITIONS
Please note that your Working Holiday Visa has been approved subject to a number of conditions:

EMPLOYER WORK LIMITATION - 8547

The holder must not be employed by any 1 employer for more than 6 months, without the prior permission in writing of the Secretary.

STUDY LIMITATION - 8548

While in Australia you must not engage, for more than 4 months, in any studies or training.

La semaine prochaine, 2 des 3 concerts du pass qu'on a acheté :
Beethoven et Elgar le lundi et Wagner et Strauss le vendredi.
Le troisième concert est un peu plus loin, en octobre. Ce qui est comique, c'est que la pièce de Bartok au programme ce jour là est celle que j'ai déjà vu.. à l'Opera House de Sydney en Mars !

Un quatrième concert me fait de l'oeil, en décembre

Next week, we will go to the two first concerts (of a package of three) : Beethoven and Elgar on the monday Wagner and Strauss on Friday.
The third one is a bit later, in october. Funny thing, i already saw the Bartok piece at.. The Opera House in Sydney In March !

Reprise de la piscine...

Après mon "coup d'épée dans l'eau" du mois dernier, reprise de la piscine avec l'ami Martial. Changement de lieu de baignade : après les Melbourne City Baths direction le Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Center et ses bassins de 50m. Jeudi dernier, je "calais" aux trois quarts de la deuxième longueur, mais lundi soir, j'ai pu faire des séries de plus de 2 longueurs à chaque fois !
Avec Martial, on a pris un abonnement, et on a chargé la carte avec 20 entrées, on va se motiver pour y aller un peu plus régulièrement.

After my only one swim last month, i'm back in a swimming pool with my friend Martial. We change the swimming pool, and i discover - after the Melbourne City Baths - the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Center and his pool of 50 meters' length ! Last thursday, i was not able to swim more than 2 laps in a row, but monday it was a bit better.
With "Marchiaul" - english way of saying is name ;-) !!! - we even buy a membership card and a 20 entries pass. we will try to go there more often.

Aujourd'hui, reprise de la piscine: J'ai fait 100 longueurs pour le coup, en un peu moins de 90 minutes !

Today, i went back to the swimming pool, where i did 100 laps, in a bit less than 90 minutes !

Semaine "sportive"

Le thème de la semaine a été "Sport" :
Match mercredi Australie - Japon, en foot (le vrai), qualificatif pour la coupe du monde 2010 en Afrique du Sud (mais un peu pour du beurre, vu que les deux équipes étaient déjà qualifiées avant le match), au MCG, et samedi, Australie - Italie, en rugby, à l'Etihad Stadium.

Hi Everyone

As everyone is aware the flu season is here. At present the main differences between normal flu and swine flu is the very high level of contagion and no one is immune to swine flu unlike some of the other variants – the impacts may change if the swine flu virus mutates.

As our business relies heavily on people it is in the Company interest (and hence in yours) to limit as far as possible those of us who are sick – so –

· As indicated previously the Company will pay out of pocket expenses associated with flu injections – please send Scott your receipts with your expense claim.

· If you have flu or flu symptoms please stay away from work. You only need to see the doctor once for a “certificate” –and you should see a doctor anyway if you have “flu” symptoms .

· Please be extra careful with personal hygiene – wash hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and dry with paper towels. Use tissues to cover coughs and sneezes. Cloth handtowels have been removed from the Company’s toilets.

· Please be extra careful with kitchen hygiene - especially with anything that is shared – cups, glasses etc should be properly washed in hot water with detergent. Prologic has made some changes to help – chux are now to be used as tea-towels & will be replaced daily, and there is disinfectant bench cleaner in the kitchen.

· More information is available at: www.pandemic.tas.gov.au . If you get sick with a fever together with a cough, or a sore throat, or a blocked or runny nose, and you think you may have been exposed to Swine Flu then you should ring 1800 358 362.

Je ne me sens pas trop concerné, même si j'ai la gorge qui gratte et que j'ai un petit rhume pas bien méchant... ;-)

Travail, suite

Après relecture et modification, j'ai fini par signé 2 contrats, me garantissant de travailler un minimum de 16h par semaine. De plus, mon travail chez des clients la semaine passée, et d'autres commandes réalisées m'ont été rémunéré ! youpi ! ça devrait m'aider à tenir au mois de juin.
Enfin, j'ai mon planning du mois de juin : je devrais travailler 17 jours, dont deux jours à Brisbane et deux jours à Sydney !
En revanche, j'ai du acheter des habits pour travailler... Aïe le portefeuille...

I finally signed two contracts - one until the 10th september, end of my first visa, and the second one until march 2010 (that means i'll have to apply for an extension...) ! So i get a job ! But the contract guarantees me to work at least 16h a week. Then, my work of may for several customers - meetings, and deliveries - has been paid !! Youhou !
And i have also my work's schedule for june : i should work 17 days, with 2 days in Sydney, and two days in Brisbane !
But i had to buy some clothes, too, and my credit card is not really happy about that...

Travail

Depuis le début du mois, j'ai fait plusieurs entretiens avec des clients de mon potentiel futur employeur, je me suis même déplacé chez certains d'entre eux, pour des "réunions de travail" !
De plus, depuis quelques jours, j'ai les "clés de la maison", je peux aller et venir n'importe quand (pendant les horaires d'ouvertures de l'immeuble) même quand personne n'est dans les bureaux !
Mais je n'ai toujours pas signé de contrat !

Since the beginning of the month i have done several interviews with customers of my "potential futur employer", i even came to several "work meetings".
And since few days, i'have got "the house's keys", i can come at anytime to the office, even when there is nobody inside...
But i still don't have sign a contract.

Emménagement

Aujourd'hui, emménagement.
Avec Kellan, mon nouveau coloc', on est d'abord aller chez Ikéa, chercher quelques meubles - pour moi, avant tout - (un lit, par exemple), puis on est passé par son ancien chez lui pour y recupérer les siens.
A peine arrivés à notre "nouvel appartement", sans avoir eu le temps de vider le van, que je devais me rafraichir pour ensuite aller à un entretien - encore un ! - avec un client de mon potentiel futur employeur...

Today, i moved in !
With Kellan, my new flatmate, we first went to Ikea in order that i buy some furnitures (a bed, for exemple), then we go to his previous flat, to take his furnitures.
Back to the flat, no time for me to start to empty the van, i had to run to an interview with a client of my potential next compagny...

ANZAC DAY

Aujourd'hui, Footy, au MCG (encore !). Oui, mais là, "c'est pas pareil", c'est le ANZAC DAY. Le match, un classique en danger (visiblement) oppose deux équipes de Melbourne, Essendon contre Collingwood. Le match se joue à guichets fermés, mais avec quelques personnes de l'auberge, on décide quand même de tenter notre chance en y allant, en espérant trouver des places là bas. Et on a eu de la chance, on a trouvé une personne qui vendait quatre places les unes à coté des autres ! On fait donc partie de la foule, plus de 80 000 personnes dans le stade, à vivre ce "moment de culture australienne", avec cérémonie, hymne national, etc.

Le match a tenu toutes ses promesses, Essendon arrachant la victoire dans les dernières secondes avec un but à 6 points, gagnant 93 à 88...

Today, Footy, at the MCG (again!). Yes, but today is the ANZAC DAY. The game, that looks to be a classical - in danger - is played by two teams of Melbourne, Essendon and Collingwood. The game is sold out, but even if we don't have tickets, with some other people of the hostel, we decide to "test our luck", hoping we can find some tickets there. And we did !!!! There was one people who was selling for places together ! So we were part of the crowd, more than 80 000 people in the MCG, to experience this "australian moment", with all the ceremony, national anthem, etc. And the game was a close one, Essendon winning in the last few seconds with a six points kick, 93 to 88...

Concert au Arts Center

Ce soir, concert au Arts Center ! Au programme, il y avait encore du Beethoven ! Et le détail marrant, c'est que c'était le même chef d'orchestre qui dirigeait ce soir le Melbourne Symphonic Orchestra ce soir qui avait dirigé le concert vu à l'Opéra de Sydney. L'écran de mon appareil photo ne fonctionnant plus, je n'ai pu désactiver le flash, pour prendre une photo, ce qui m'a valu tout d'abord de raté la photo, et ensuite, de me faire repérer par les fens de la salle, qui m'ont demandé de ne pas en prendre en plus... :'(

Week-end de Paques

Camille et Martial étant partis en week-end du coté de Cairns, ils m'ont bien sympatiquement prêté leur appartement pour 4 jours.
Edgard est repassé par Melbourne le samedi, avant de reprendre l'avion le dimanche, fin de son périple australien.

Camille and Martial, gone for the Eastern Week-end to Cairns, have let me their flat. Edgard came back from his trip to Adelaide on the saturday, before flying home on the sunday evening. End of his australian adventure

Aujourd'hui, Yann et Edgard ont continué leur route australienne, en direction de Alice Spring, via la Great Ocean Road. Moi, je suis allé à l'aquarium de Melbourne, en compagnie de Camille et Martial, voir les pingouins.

Back in Melbourne

Hier, on a pu quitter Bellingen, repasser rapidement par Coffs Harbour, récupérer nos affaires, et rejoindre ensuite Brisbane, où nous rendons la voiture, et nous passons tranquillement la soirée.
Et aujourd'hui, on a pris l'avion direction Melbourne.

Yesterday, we were able to finally leave Bellingen, drive through Coffs Harbour where we get back our stuff, and reach Brisbane where we spent quietly the evening.
And today, we flew back to Melbourne.

Bellingen

Au cours des deux jours passés à Bellingen, une anecdote cocasse fut de faire les courses, alors que l'électricité était coupée en ville. Le magasin de la ville a ouvert pour quelques heures, mais restait sombre à l'intérieur, vu qu'il n'y avait pas de courant. Faire les courses à consister à effectuer le processus suivant :
sélectionner un produit dans un rayon;
écrire le prix dudit produit sur une petite liste;
aller faire contrôler nos courses (produits achetés et prix notés) par un employé du magasin;
payer, en espèce (car les cartes ne fonctionnaient pas), à la caisse où le caissier faisait la somme des prix à l'aide d'une calculatrice d'une autre époque...

During the two days spent in Bellingen, we had to do some shopping, to eat. That was fun, since there were no power in the city. The shop was dark, unlightened (no power) and we had to write down on a paper the prices of the items we bought. Then, an employee check our list and our bags, and then the cashier, thanks to a huge calculator, sum the prices and give us the bill, that we have to pay in cash.

Deux jours bloqués à Bellingen... Des courses dans un supermarché éteint, où on est obligé de payer en cash, et surtout, d'écrire sur un papier le prix des articles que l'on achète, pour que le caissier puisse faire les comptes...
